What Is IV Sedation?
IV moderate sedation — sometimes called “twilight sedation” or “sleep dentistry” — is a form of moderate sedation administered intravenously by a trained clinician. Unlike oral sedation (a pill taken before your visit) or nitrous oxide (laughing gas), IV sedation works quickly, can be precisely controlled throughout your procedure, and leaves most patients with little to no memory of their appointment.
